Ginger is a perennial herb that grows to about 3 - 4 feet high (approximately 1 meter). Ginger oil is a popular essential oil with a warm, energizing aroma. A featured ingredient in many Asian dishes, Ginger has a hot, fragrant flavor when used as a kitchen spice. It has been used in medicines since prehistoric times. Ginger essential oil can also be applied topically or inhaled for a soothing aroma.

Processing Method: Steam Distillation. The ginger root is macerated and distilled over high heat, from which the oil is extracted.
Blends With:
Bergamot, Cardamom, BlackPepper, Spearmint, Orange, Sandalwood, Ylang-ylang, and other spice oils
Cautions: Dilute before use; May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
General: As with all essential oils, never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children. If applying an essential oil to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the oil in an appropriate carrier.
