Extracted from the seeds of the Cuminum cyminum, Cumin oil is a powerful essential oil that can be used for bodily health. Cumin is a small annual herb about 50 cm (20 inches) high with deep green, narrow feathery leaves and tiny white or pink flowers, followed by small oblong seeds. Due to its faster absorption by the skin, the seed oil is known to be more potent than the seeds themselves. A main chemical component of Cumin is cuminaldehyde (cuminal). Cuminaldehyde has a monoterpene backbone with an aldehydes functional group. Cuminaldehyde contains warming properties that contribute to the overall warming effect of Cumin oil. Enriched in vitamin E.
