Anise seed has a long history of use as a spice and medicine.The health benefits of Anise Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an anti-epileptic, anti-hysteric, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, aperient, carminative, friendly, decongestant and a sedative. It has been used as a spice and flavoring agent since ancient times. 


  • Add a few drops to a cotton ball and place anywhere that mice or any bugs are an issue
  • Diffuse or inhale if you have nausea problem
  • Relieve hiccups if you diffuse or inhale
  • It helps soothe sore and aching muscles when you add it to your massage creams or lotions 
  • Add a few drops of anise oil to almond oil and massage onto the abdomen. This can help ease muscular and menstrual cramping

EXTRACTION METHOD : Steam distillation

BLENDS WELL WITH : Bay, black pepper, ginger, lavender, orange, pine, rose


Oil Specific: Avoid while pregnant or breast-feeding. May cause skin irritation.
General: As with all essential oils, never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children. If applying an essential oil to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the oil in an appropriate carrier.
